Local 682 Won 2nd Place in North Carolina for MDA
Congratulations to Winston-Salem Professional Firefighters Association for being ranked 2nd place in for the most funds collected during 2006 Fill-the-Boot Fundraiser to help “Jerry’s Kids.” Our local was awarded with a plaque for this great accomplishment at the IAFF/MDA Boot Camp Conference. The chart below shows that we got beat out as the top dog for NC by Mooresville Local 4485 by only $735.
Congratulations to Mooresville for their efforts, but this should motivate Local 682 to challenge ourselves to do even better for 2007. We also came up $112,957 short in becoming the top dog of our region. It would not be too hard to be the Local that beats Columbia, SC if we would work together and encourage everyone to get involved.
